Jim Duffy, the company’s owner, has always had a strong commitment to personal relationships. During college, his parents bought a printing company in Zephyrhills, FL. He worked with his mom and twin brother and became a jack of all trades.  He was especially drawn to the design aspect.  During his career in the sign industry, Jim has worked for several different shops as a graphic designer, sales representative and manager. 
In September of this year of 2019, he decided it was time to open his own sign shop. Why the name Vert Sign Company? “When my two boys were younger, they used to watch a Hot Wheels cartoon with a driver named Vert Wheeler. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen that cartoon. Then, when we got a cat, one of the boys wanted to call him Vert. Sean, my oldest son, takes great pride in our family name Duffy. He found out that the lion on the Duffy family crest is named Vert. When I was thinking about a name for the sign company, the name Vert stuck.” Jim believes the foundation of any business is the telationships you cultivate while providing a service or product.
